How to transfer ownership of my Senja account
Transferring account ownership allows you to hand over full administrative control of your Senja account to another person.
It's applicable to all Senja plan: Free, Starter, and Pro.
Reasons of transfer
There are multiple reasons of transfer:
The current project owner is leaving your company
The company is acquired by other companies and the Senja account is managed by different person from the acquiring company
You are the previous owner but you want to give the responsibility to someone else in the team
How to transfer ownership
Account ownership transfers must be handled by our Support team for security reasons, you need to submit a request for this:
Provide these info:
The email address of the current account owner (admin)
The email address of the person who will become the new account owner
Is there a need to transfer the subscription as well, or it's just the project
If you are not moving the subscription, the project will be under the Senja plan of the new owner (e.g. if the new owner is on Free plan, the project will be under Free plan)
If you are also moving the subscription, the billing details and notification will be moved from the old owner to the new one
Wait for our team to process the transfer
Our Support team will verify the request and complete the ownership transfer for you.
What happens after the transfer
Once the transfer is complete:
The new owner will have full control of the account
The previous owner will lose administrative access
All account settings, projects, and data remain intact
Transferring individual workspaces
If you only need to transfer a specific workspace or project (not the entire account), you can request a project transfer instead. This allows you to:
Move individual projects to different Senja accounts
Transfer projects to free accounts
Keep other projects in your current account
