You want to embed your awesome testimonial widget into Wordpress’s website builder. Depending on where WordPress is installed, your theme, and your page builder, the instructions vary.

Add Testimonials to a page using the Gutenberg Editor in WordPress.com

 

The default WordPress.com Gutenberg Custom HTML block doesn’t support custom Javascript embedding by default.

However, you can easily accomplish by extending it’s functionality using the Custom HTML Block Extension.

 

Create your widget and get the embed code snippet

In Senja:

Create a testimonial widget. To create a widget, go to the Studio

On the studio page, navigate to the Widgets section and select Start from scratch

Name your widget and click Create widget

Click the + button

You can choose between Approved testimonials and Curate Testimonials. In this example, we selected the Approved Testimonials option so testimonials matching the filters will be added automatically:

Select a widget style and customize the design until you’re happy. Then click Share on the top right:

Copy your widget’s code by clicking on the copy icon

You’re done in Senja. Now move over to your Wordpress site!

Click on the Plugins tab, and search for the “Custom HTML Block Extension

Install and activate it.

Click on Pages in the WordPress dashboard

Select the page you want to embed your testimonials on.

Type / and select custom html (You’ll notice that it now has a lightning icon)

Paste the Senja embed code, then click the publish button.
