About forms

Can I restore a deleted form and its testimonials?

Deleted forms and testimonials cannot be restored.

Senja performs hard deletes — when something is deleted, it's permanently removed from the database. There's no trash, soft-delete, or archive mechanism.

This is applicable for all Senja plans: Free, Starter, and Pro.

What happens when you delete a form

  • Deleting a form does not delete the testimonials collected through it

  • Those testimonials stay in your account

    • The only change you'll notice is that the source info is removed

    • Testimonials that previously showed Collected X days ago using [form name] will just show Collected X days ago

    • The form name is lost permanently

  • If you want to delete testimonials coming from a form, you have to do it from the Proof page (see How do I delete a testimonial?)

What to do if you've accidentally deleted something

If you deleted a form:

  • Your testimonials are safe — check your Proof page

  • The form itself can't be restored, but you can recreate it with the same settings

If you deleted testimonials coming from a form:

  • Ask customers to resubmit via a new or existing form

Prevention tips

To avoid accidental deletions:

  • Give forms clear, distinct names so you don't delete the wrong one

  • Export important testimonials as a backup using the HD export feature

  • Always double-check before confirming any deletion

Deletion is permanent. Both forms and individual testimonials are permanently deleted. Always verify before confirming any deletion action.
