Senja affiliate program: how it works, applying and getting started

Yes, Senja has an affiliate program. You earn 30% recurring commission for life on every paying customer you refer.

This is applicable for users with any Senja plans: Free, Starter, and Pro.

How the program works

When someone clicks your referral link and upgrades to a paid plan (Starter at $29/month or Pro at $59/month), you earn 30% of their subscription for as long as they stay a customer.

What you get:

  • A personal referral link through your FirstPromoter dashboard

Program terms

Please review these before you apply:

  • You can't refer yourself

  • You can't run paid ads promoting Senja, including bidding on the Senja trademark

  • You can't add Senja to a discount, coupon or AI directory

  • You can't use spam or other prohibited marketing methods

  • You can present Senja as a sponsor in your content

  • You must plan to promote Senja within 20 days of being accepted

How to apply

Apply at senja.io/affiliates. We approve every affiliate manually, so the more detail you share, the better.

We look for affiliates who have:

  • An established website or social media presence

  • Content related to business tools, marketing or customer experience

  • Regular engagement with their audience

  • A clear plan for how they'll promote Senja

The application asks for:

  • Your biggest or most engaged audience channel (e.g. website, blog, newsletter)

  • What your audience wants to sell more of (e.g. SaaS subscriptions)

  • Your URL (e.g. mapleads.io) and any other websites or domains you own

  • Your audience size (e.g. 8,500)

  • How you currently use Senja yourself (e.g. Free account)

  • Your first planned Senja promotion and your wider plan to promote it

Tips for a strong application:

  • List every website and channel you'd promote Senja on

  • Be specific about when and where you'll share Senja

  • Include traffic or subscriber numbers if you have them

  • Link to examples of past product recommendations or partner posts

  • If your application isn't in English, add a short English summary

After you apply

Our marketing team reviews applications within 1–4 weeks. Timing depends on application volume, how complete your application is and team availability.

Here's what to expect:

  1. We email you a few clarification questions about your application

  2. If you're approved, we email you our decision, with a separate email of your affiliate link and a FirstPromoter password reset link

All emails go to the address on your application, so check your spam folder too.

There's no self-service portal to check your status. If you've waited more than 4 weeks, email [email protected] for an update.

If your application is declined

Most applications are declined because we don't have enough information to judge your audience or promotion plan. Many of our top affiliates were declined at first and got in after reapplying.

Common reasons

  • Missing or unclear details: no website, audience size or promotion plan, or minimal answers

  • Poor audience fit: your audience isn't interested in testimonials, marketing or business tools

  • Site not ready: a "coming soon" page, fewer than 10 published posts, broken pages or an uncustomised template

  • Low engagement: little traffic or interaction, or no new content in months

  • Prohibited methods: paid ads, trademark bidding, spam, coupon sites or past affiliate program violations

Already an affiliate?

Some people get a decline email even though they're already approved. Log in to FirstPromoter to check.

How to reapply

Wait at least 30 days, then apply again once you've fixed what held you back:

  • Share your website, social profiles, subscriber counts and who your audience is

  • Explain exactly how and where you'll promote Senja

  • Link to your best content or past product recommendations

  • Show you understand what Senja does and why your audience would care

Once you're approved

Everything you need lives in your FirstPromoter dashboard: your affiliate link, referrals, earnings, promotional materials and payout settings.

Your link is in your welcome email. You can also find it anytime:

  1. Log in to FirstPromoter

  2. Go to the Promoter page

  3. Copy your unique link

How referrals are tracked

You don't need to add referrals manually.

  • When someone clicks your link (format: https://senja.io?via=xxxxx) and upgrades to a paid plan, the referral is tracked automatically

  • You earn 30% recurring commission for as long as they stay a customer

  • You can see all clicks, referrals and earnings in real time in FirstPromoter

Share your link on social media, in newsletters or in conversations. The more places it appears, the more you'll earn.

Referred someone before you were approved?

Email [email protected] with proof of the referral (an email, chat or text message). We'll review it and can add it retroactively.

If you use Senja for your own projects, you can add your affiliate link to the Powered By Senja badge on your forms, Widgets and Walls of Love. You'll need a Starter or Pro plan.

  1. Go to Project Settings > Powered By

  2. Paste your link into Affiliate link for Powered By

  3. Click Save settings

Update your payout details

Log in to FirstPromoter and update your payout information there.
