How do I set up External Link rewards?

Want to sweeten the deal for people leaving testimonials? External Link rewards let you direct customers to a special offer page right after they submit. They'll see a Claim reward button on the thank-you screen and get the link in an automated email too.

External Link rewards is available on Form 2.0 only.

  1. Head to your Forms dashboard

  2. Pick the form you want to add rewards to

  3. Click the Rewards tab

  4. Select the Global Reward card

  5. Click the External link sub-tab

  6. Type your destination URL in the Link URL field (like https://example.com/special-offer)

  7. Add a Reward Description to tease what they'll get (like Leave a testimonial to unlock an exclusive offer)

    • This shows up on the welcome screen

    • Don't put the actual link here, save that surprise for later!

  8. Optional: Flip the Limit to video testimonials only toggle if you only want video submitters to get the link

  9. Save your changes and you're done!

Use the Reward Description to get people excited without spoiling the surprise. Try something like: "Submit your review to unlock a special bonus!"

What your customers see

After someone submits a testimonial, they'll see the external link in two spots:

  • The reward message will not show on screen

  • An email will be sent with the link to the reward

Good to know

  • Same link for everyone: Global rewards give the same URL to all customers. Need unique links for each person? You'll have to manage that outside Senja or try a different reward type like Spin the Wheel.

  • No URL validation: Senja doesn't check if your link is valid or track clicks. Make sure you test the URL before going live.

  • Email field is a must: To send links via email, your form needs a customer email field and it has to be set as required.

  • External links only: This reward type opens links in a new tab. For other incentive types, check out Coupon Code or Spin the Wheel rewards.

Don't put the actual URL in the Reward Description field! Customers will see that before they submit, which kills the whole incentive. Save that field for teaser copy only.

Troubleshooting

If customers aren't seeing the link after submitting a video testimonial:

  • Check the Limit to video testimonials only toggle

  • Turn it off if you want everyone (text and video) to get the reward
