There are a few reasons why you might be seeing a "CNAME cross-user banned" error when adding a custom domain to your account. This article will help you troubleshoot the most common causes.

Your domain is already associated with another account

If your domain is already associated with another Senja account, you will need to remove it from that account before you can add it to a new one.

If you're not sure which account your domain is associated with, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you out.

Your domain has been flagged as suspicious

We use a third-party service to protect our platform from spam and abuse. Occasionally, this service may incorrectly flag a legitimate domain as suspicious. When this happens, you may be blocked from adding new members to your account.

If you believe your domain has been incorrectly flagged, please contact us and we will work with the third-party service to resolve the issue.

Please be prepared to provide documentation to verify that you own the domain in question.

There is a problem with your CNAME configuration

If you have checked the above and you are still having problems, there may be an issue with your CNAME configuration. Please double-check your CNAME records to ensure that they are pointing to the correct location.
